Power Rankings Week 17

ALERT ALERT there was another shutout this week. Ramirez Bros and Co shut out the crazy eyed killas. Did that mean the they were the top team in the power rankings for the 3rd week in a row? Maybe. This week's MVP was Connor Jackson of Furry Balls. C-Jax hit .542 with 3 HRs and scored 9 runs. He also had 7 RsBI a stolen base and an OPS of 1.676. The LVP award this week goes to Cristian Guzmán of Captain Delux. He went 2/17 for a .118 avg and an OPS of .343 and no other fantasy stats. Congrats again to meiz for shutting out tyler, you are the bestest fantasy shutouter of all time. I can't believe how awesome your shutout was. You're like Daniel Larusso, you're the best around and nothing is gonna ever keep you down. So with that, we have our weekly winner for the 3rd week in a row: Ramirez Bros. and Co.

For the year, I Got 2 BJs continues to lead the pack...brisket

Power Rankings Week 16

The short week after the All-Star break sucks. Especially since it's right in the stretch run for the FMLB playoffs, and playoff seedings can be effected greatly by a short week. But whatever. The great news is that there is a new leader for the year but you'll have to wait to find out who. The MVP for the short week was David Wright of I got 2 BJs. About time he started living up to his high draft position, even if it was for only 4 games. Wright hit .385 with 2HRs 6RsBI and a stolen base. He also scored 5 runs and had an OPS of 1.449. The LVP this week was Aramis Ramirez of The Riot. Aramis was 0/13 and never even reached base in the 3 game set against the Astros, pathetic... On to the weekly rankings, and while there was a tie last week, this week the winner (for the 2nd week in a row) was: Ramirez Bros. & Co.

For the year we finally had some changes in the top spot, the new leader is I Got 2 BJs...bask

Power Rankings Week 15

So we've completed 15 weeks of FMLB and there are like 7 to go until the playoffs start, so things are starting to shake out. Great matchup this last week between The Riot (1st in PR and 1st in league standings) and I got 2 BJs (2nd in PR and 2nd in league standings). It was a very even matchup, with 2BJs coming out on top to take over sole possession of the league lead, but did they catch The Riot in the power rankings, stay tuned. This week's MVP is Nate McLouth of 2BJs. It was a less than spectacular week for everyone, but we ranked McLouth as #1. For the week he hit .290 but had an OPS of 1.139 that included 4HRs. He also scored 9 runs, had 9RsBI and stole a couple of bags. Solid week. The LVP this week is Carlos Gomez of Lincecum for Pres. Gomez was 1/26 for a .038 avg for the week with and OPS of .076, the good news is that he had 1 RBI, but no other statistics to be proud of.

The weekly rankings were so tough that we had a tie. For the first time ever, both teams tied to lead the pitching, and tied to lead the hitting categories for the week. Not only was that impressive, but they both played the teams that came in 3rd and 4th in the rankings this week, so it was a good effort and showing up when you needed to show up. The tie winners are: Ramirez Bros & Co and I got 2 BJs

How much you want for that grill Manny?

The great week for 2BJs was still not enough to catch The Riot, who holds the overall lead for the 10th week in a row....bask

Power Rankings Week 14

And we're back with another weekly addition of LoV Fantasy Beisbol power rankings. Everyone was pretty even this week in their matchups. This week's MVP race was a close one. And while JJ Hardy had the most insane week, we can't rightfully call him an MVP as he wasn't even owned for most of the week. So, we move on to the next guy and that's NL all-star Matt Holliday of captain delux. Matty hit .429 hit 3HRs including a Grand Slam, had 10RsBI and scored 8 runs. He also stole 3 bags and had an OPS of 1.286 (just a side note JJ Hardy hit .600 with 6HRS and an OPS of 1.992). The LVP for the week was Jeff Keppinger of I Need More DL Spots. Kep was 1/23 for a .043 average and an OPS of .126. (and to think that he was owned all week, whilst JJ Hardy was on the waiver wire...hmmm).

On to the power rankings. This week was pretty close overall, and featured a 3 way tie for 3rd place. But there can be only one winner and since I don't want to post a picture of Tim Lincecum, you get some random hot chick. The winner: Lincecum for Pres.

For the year, The Riot is in 1st for the 9th straight week, and 13th out of 14 overall....bisquick.
