Just because I can

Comparison time:

Here is a trade scenario:

Team A is giving up a player whose stats now are:

.327 AVG, .856 OPS, 73 Runs, 8 HR, 52 RBIs, and 12 SB

Team B is giving up two players:

.325 AVG, .968 OPS, 52 Runs, 16 HR, 52 RBIs, and 13 SB

1 W, 3 SV, 40 K, 11 Holds, 2.39 ERA, and 1.29 WHIP

So who is getting the better end of this deal? Should it be vetoed?
Also let it be known that the position player that team B is giving up missed a month of action with injury, so his or her, RBI/Runs/HR totals are probably a little lower than they could be.

Check the comments to find out who these players are.

Team A is giving up Jeter, team B is giving up BJ Upton and David Riske.

This trade was vetoed early in the year...so maybe next year you'll think twice about vetoing a trade just because you don't think it's fair.

After seeing the two accepted trades waiting to get put through in our league, I encourage everyone to veto Blue's rapealicious deal.

When was it vetoed and what were the stats when it was vetoed?

You can't always look at something in a "vacuum" after the fact.

Where were both teams when the deal was done?

Health of the players?

Status on team?

etc

etc

etc

zeke-
it was week 2 or 3 of the season.

everyone was healthy

people told me I was getting ripped off because Upton wouldn't keep it up all year. blah blah blah.

my point is, everyone has reasons for making trades

I agree, the shef trade raped him, why didn't you guys veto that one, it happened pre-season though I guess

Later on I may do a post that compares all the trades that were vetoed, and accepted.

I did veto.

Rev jumped the gun on this to say the least.

and now rev is dead and his team is dead too

shef wouldn't have saved Rev's team, but it would have made weazy's weaker, that's for sure
