my team sucks
TP - Dye for Rivera
and I'd like to do a study on the frequency and # of trade proposals TP receives from corby and weazy since TP posted his comment.
I think i'm happy with my team right now. I've been kind of coasting. I don't have any real superstars, just a lot of good contributors. I've got the pieces in place just waiting for the team to gel.
i feel the same way blue.
the team is solid and i get good attendance at the home games. i'm not ready to blow it up yet.
My pitching is really fucking me over right now. Especially after Turnbow's last outing. Fuck.
That's what you get for relying on some shitdick brewers
Spiff, my emotions don't sway my team.
Why am I so goddam low on the waiver priority?
FOR SPIFF.
Suck it. New O-Ranks are out. Guess what. Sheff is at 39. Smoltz fell to 71. And in actual ranks Smoltz had him by almost 60 spots.
Maybe you should have listened to me when I said it was a fair deal.
According to yahoo, I was getting hosed.
Meiz -- cuz you put in a waiver claim on Chad Tracy on the May 13. Sends you to the back of the bus.
yahoo waiver wire treating Meiz like a black man before Rosa Parks
I'm saving my waiver priority for something good.
That's gay.
can't do it, zeke... rivera is my only closer
Ohio State: A
The Buckeyes landed five recruits, led by 7-1 center Kosta Koufos (Canton, Ohio/Glen Oak), who will have the task of filling Greg Oden's shoes. Dallas Lauderdale (Solon, Ohio), a 6-8 center, will also add size in the middle for Ohio State. Overall, coach Thad Matta has a talented class with a lot of size and athleticism for '07.
Indiana: A
This was a blockbuster class for the Hoosiers as they signed six recruits. Eric Gordon (Indianapolis/North Central), a 6-5 guard, is a star in the making and should fit coach Kelvin Sampson's style well. The remaining signees give Sampson and his staff depth and athleticism. In addition to Gordon, Jordan Crawford (Chatham, Va./Hargrave Military), will provide the Hoosiers with solid play on the perimeter.
Michigan State: A-
The Spartans loaded up on the perimeter, with all three of their signees being guards -- including 6-3 shooting guard Chris Allen (Lawrenceville, Ga./Meadowcreek), who has the potential to be special. This is an outstanding class.
Purdue: A-
Coach Matt Painter landed an excellent recruiting class, and he did it with almost all Indiana kids. His top recruit is guard E'Twaun Moore (East Chicago, Ind./Central). Moore was ranked No. 27 in the ESPN 150. Painter also landed two talented forwards from Valparaiso (Ind.) High School in Scott Martin and Robbie Hummel.
Wisconsin: B
Coach Bo Ryan and his staff always land solid to good recruits, and this year was no different as the Badgers signed three recruits. Power forwards Jon Leuer (Long Lake, Minn./Orono) and Keaton Nankivil (Madison, Wis./James Madison Memorial) have the size and skill that will fit well in Ryan's swing offense.
Illinois: B
The Illini covered all of their bases as they picked up a recruit for every position except small forward. Coach Bruce Weber took a big blow in recruiting with the defection of Eric Gordon to Indiana, but he and his staff went out and landed a couple players who will help him next year. The top two players coming into Illinois are 6-3 point guard Demetri McCamey (Westchester, Ill./St. Joseph's) and 6-7 forward Rodney Alexander.
Michigan: B-
New coach John Beilein did an excellent job of re-recruiting and retaining the recruits of former coach Tommy Amaker, specifically Corperryale "Manny" Harris (Detroit/Redford). The 6-4 point guard should come in and play immediately, and he will be important to the new Beilein era in Ann Arbor.
Penn State: C+
Penn State is probably the hardest sell of all the Big Ten schools. Nonetheless, the Nittany Lions needed four players and they were able to fill their needs, signing four solid recruits.
Northwestern: C
Northwestern brought in two recruits in the Class of '07 and 5-11 point guard Michael Thompson (Chicago/Lincoln Park), a local product, should be able to provide immediate help.
Iowa: C-
New coach Todd Lickliter got a good one when he completed the recruiting of 6-0 point guard Jeff Peterson (Hyattsville, Md./DeMatha). Peterson had committed to Princeton earlier in the process but his recruiting blew up during the winter. In addition, the Hawkeyes landed 6-5 guard Jake Kelly (Carmel, Ind.)
Minnesota: C -
Like Beilein, new Minnesota coach Tubby Smith was able to come in and retain the Gophers' recruits, 6-4 guard Blake Hoffarber (Minnetonka, Minn./Hopkins) and 6-2 point guard Albert Nolen (Minneapolis/Patrick Henry).
